Chasing Dreams
Today, I am honored to stand here and speak about chasing dreams—a journey that requires courage, persistence, and action.
Each of us has dreams. Some may aspire to be scientists, artists, athletes, or leaders. Others may dream of making a difference in their communities. No matter how big or small, our dreams have the power to push us forward. Yet, the road to achieving them is never smooth. Challenges and setbacks will come, but what truly matters is how we face them.
1. Courage conquers fear. Thomas Edison failed over 1,000 times before successfully inventing the light bulb. What did he teach us? That failure is not the end, but a stepping stone. Fear of failure often holds us back, but courage allows us to take the first step. Start now, even if you're uncertain. Every great achievement begins with a decision to try.
2. Persistence turns “impossible” into “I did it.” J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series was rejected by 12 publishers before it became a global phenomenon. What if she had given up? Success is a long journey, full of obstacles and doubts. The key is to keep going, even when things seem impossible. Ask yourself daily, “Am I willing to fight for my dream?”
3. Action beats daydreaming. A dream without effort is just a wish. Want to be a scientist? Study hard. An artist? Keep creating. Progress comes from small, consistent steps, not from waiting for the perfect moment. Success belongs to those who take action, not just those who wish for it.
Friends, we are young, passionate, and full of potential. Let’s not let fear or doubt stop us. Remember, every great inventor, artist, or leader was once a student like us, choosing to try again.
I’ll leave you with this thought: “Dreams don’t work unless you do.” So let’s shine boldly, work tirelessly, and make our mark on the world!

Procrastination
Today, I want to talk about something that almost all of us struggle with: procrastination.
You're procrastinating because you're choosing to. It's not because you're lazy, or overworked. You're putting things off because you're avoiding discomfort. But lucky for you, stopping procrastination is surprisingly simple.
First, let's call procrastination as avoidance. You're dodging something - fear, or boredom. The task you're doing feels too hard, too tedious, or maybe you're just scared you'll fail. But the thing is, putting it off doesn't make it go away. lt just builds pressure. You think you're avoiding discomfort, but all you're doing is trading short-term relief for long-term stress.
You tell yourself you'll do it later, but that's a lie. You think, 'I work better under pressure,' but that's impossible. You don't work better; you just work faster because you have no choice. And the result? Quality often suffers.
Because the truth is, you're not waiting for the right time. You're waiting for the work to feel easy. But it never will. Waiting doesn't make hard tasks easier; it just gives you less time to do them. That's the truth. So, stop fooling yourself. Stopping procrastination is ridiculously simple. All you have to do is start.
The hardest part of any task isn't doing it; it's starting. Once you take the first step, momentum kicks in like running water, and the task becomes manageable. But the longer you sit there thinking about it, the bigger and scarier it feels. The task itself is not the problem; it's your hesitation. Starting is always easier than the nightmare you built up in your head.
I don't have time. No, you do. You're just wasting it scrolling on your phone. Everyone has the same 24 hours. It's about how you use it. 'I don't feel motivated.' Motivation is a scam. It's fleeting and unreliable. Stop waiting to feel like doing the work. Discipline gets the job done, not motivation.
But I'm too tired. But I don't know where to start. But what if I fail? Your buts are excuses dressed up as reasons. But I'm too tired. Then do something small. Even five minutes of progress is better than nothing. But I don't know where to start. Start anywhere. Pick the easiest, and go from there. But what if I fail? You might. And that's fine. Failure isn't the end. It's feedback. Failure makes you learn, adapt, and try again. Action creates confidence. You don't need to feel confident to start, You just need to start to feel confident.
Stopping procrastination is a habit, not a one-time thing. And habits are built through repetition. Set clear deadlines for everything. And reward yourself after completing tasks. Your brain loves dopamine, so give it a reason to associate finishing tasks with pleasure.
Every second you waste is a second you could spend building the life you want. So stop waiting for motivation, clarity, or a sign. The only sign you need is get up and start.
