保护海洋动物

上周五，我们共同度过了难忘的珠海长隆海洋王国研学之旅。除了惊险刺激的游乐设施外，相信大家和我一样，都被海洋生物的灵动与可爱深深吸引。

同学们，你们是否想过，海洋动物是如何来到海洋馆的呢？其实，这个过程背后隐藏着许多值得我们深思的问题。

在过去，海洋馆通常通过围网、陷阱等方式在野外捕获海洋动物。捕获后，这些动物会被放入特制的水箱中进行运输。然而，由于突然脱离自然栖息地，加上运输过程中的陌生环境和压力，许多动物无法适应，导致运输期间的死亡率高达5%-10%。尽管如今许多国家已经禁止野外捕获，转而依赖人工繁殖，但长期圈养和近亲繁殖又带来了新的问题。圈养虎鲸背鳍塌陷率超80%，野外雄性仅1%，而且它们的野外平均寿命为50到80年，但圈养寿命不足一半，常常不到30年。

因此，当我们欣赏海洋动物的表演时，或许应该更多地思考：它们的自由和幸福，是否比我们的娱乐更为重要？保护海洋动物，不仅仅是让它们生存，更是让它们在自然环境中自由地生活。

保护海洋动物，不仅仅是保护这些可爱的生灵，更是保护我们人类自己。没有健康的海洋，就没有可持续发展的未来。那么，作为新时代的青少年，我们能做些什么呢？

首先，减少使用塑料。自带水瓶和购物袋。拒绝使用塑料吸管和杯子。参与海滩清理活动，帮助保持海洋清洁。

其次，食用可持续的海鲜。购买鱼类时，寻找MSC（海洋管理委员会）或ASC（水产养殖管理委员会）的标志。不要食用濒危动物，如鱼翅或蓝鳍金枪鱼。

最后，向他人宣传海洋保护。分享你在旅行中学到的知识，邀请你的家人和朋友一起保护海洋。

每一个生命都值得被关注和善待，愿我们头顶的烟花比黑夜绚烂。

Protect marine animals

Last Friday, we spent an unforgettable study trip to Zhuhai Chimelong Ocean Kingdom. In addition to the thrilling rides, I believe that everyone, like me, is deeply attracted by the agility and cuteness of the marine life.

Students, have you ever thought about how marine animals come to the aquarium? In fact, there are many profound questions hidden behind this process that are worth our deep consideration.

In the past, aquariums often captured marine animals from the wild using nets or traps. After capture, these animals were transported in special tanks. However, the sudden removal from their natural habitats, combined with the stress of unfamiliar environments during transport, made it difficult for many animals to adapt, leading to a mortality rate of 5% to 10%. Although many countries now ban wild capture and rely on captive breeding, long-term confinement and inbreeding have created new problems. For example, over 80% of captive killer whale have collapsed dorsal fins, compared to just 1% in wild males. While their average lifespan in the wild is 50 to 80 years, in captivity, it is often less than half, rarely reaching 30 years.

Therefore, when we enjoy marine animal performances, perhaps we should think more deeply: is their freedom and happiness more important than our entertainment? Protecting marine animals is not just about ensuring their survival, but also about allowing them to live freely in their natural environment.

Protecting marine animals is not only about protecting these lovely creatures, but also about protecting us as human beings. Without a healthy ocean, there can be no sustainable future. So, as the youth of a new era, what can we do?

First, Use less plastic. Bring your own water bottle and bag. Say no to plastic straws and cups. Join beach cleanups to help keep the ocean clean.

Second, Eat sustainable seafood. Look for the MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) or ASC (Aquaculture Stewardship Council) logo when buying fish. Don’t eat endangered animals like shark fin or bluefin tuna.

Finally, Tell others about ocean protection. Share what you learned during the trip. Ask your family and friends to protect the ocean too.

Every life deserves attention and kindness; may the fireworks above us be more brilliant than the night.
